The best places to look on the net for competition is Clickbank and PayDotCom Clickbank is the largest marketplace for digital products like ebooks. You can browse through the categories there and find ebooks in potential markets.

Step 1 - go over to Clickbank and click on the ’promote products’ at the bottom of the page.
Step 2 - Select a category from the 9 listed.
Step 3 - List down any products that have a "Gravity" over 10. This gives an indication that this product sells a little.
